The Votes are in for Round 21!

Apologies for not updating the Leaderboard for a few weeks. The good news is that after Round 21, Dusty still has a winning lead over Rance who is still 3 points ahead of Cotch. Following is Astbury, Lambert, Prestia, Grigg, Nankervis,  Riewoldt, and Nick Vlastuin rounding out the top 10.

The way I read it, he meant, we will instead use our two first rounders to draft young talent (cheap) rather than invest a lot of money in a 27 year old who can't kick the football. The proviso being that we use our cash on Dusty. So it makes perfect sense...if you read it that way.

Still makes no sense to me, fair enough if we dont want casboult but we do need another key forward and an 18yo kid wont cut it so someone must be approached because if jack does a knee we will be in all sorts and finishing top 4 our draw isnt going to be kind to us next year.

There are still rumours going that Schache still wants out and only signed to help Brisbane get a good deal instead of being able to walk to a draft, I dont believe it but they have been going around.

We do not need a tall key forward at the moment. We will wait to see. Riewoldt has probably two years left of elite contribution to make.

Probably what he meant but his clumsy journalistic skills got in the way.

I'd be interested to see proof of his claim that Hardwick confirmed Casboult wouldn't be at Richmond next year.

That does make a lot of sense.

When you factor in that list management is the worst performing aspect of the club by quite some distance, and could quite conceivably be a determining factor in us not winning a premiership this year, it is logical that those in charge would see our current set up of one ageing quality forward, one inconsistent and chronically injured forward, one very limited and likely to be delisted forward and back-up of broken down ruckman of questionable ability as forwards to be quite sufficient.

Looking through the prism of our list management ability, it is also entirely sensible to draft a key forward who will take 3-4 years to become ready to perform at AFL level, to fill that gap in the short term.

Carlton is a rabble. Pathetic junk.
Their recruitment of D Thomas ($2 million?) was one of the worst in recent history.

Recruited 5 years ago when every single position of influence at the club was filled by a different person.

Doesn't even come close to being as bad as our Yarran recruitment. And Hampson was also worse.

I wouldn't worry too much about Carlton, Bolton is building the side from the ground up. The similarity to Hawthorn under Clarkson is concerning.

Good luck to Bolton. Five wins.
    Two less than last year.
Casboult is a klutz and their hopeless fans agree.

Or maybe, key forwards are overrated (west coast have two okay key forwards and they suck). We won a couple games without a key forward.
You know what's more overrated than having two good key forwards? Having a key forward from a club that sells lemons, who is a lemon.

This post might need revisiting after the first half.

Very few lemons lead the AFL for contested marks when they are a forward in the team 17th for inside 50s.

Place him between the arcs as a target today and we win. Simple.

Actually, the ideal player would be like Adelaide's Tom Lynch. Great mark and work rate. I insist that someone tell me Callum Moore is going to be just as good.

If it's true and we're not interested in Casboult, perhaps there is some truth to the Josh Kennedy rumor I heard a while back?
