You may have noticed a small change to the number of forums that are available for Football Discussion.

There was once (only for a short time admittedly) 4 forums for Richmond teams - AFL Men & Women and VFL Men & Women. It occurred to me that we are all one club and then should have all discussions - no matter from what club or gender - posted under Richmond Ramblings. The side benefit of this is that you only have to remember to post on one forum as well  Smile

The other change is that you must now use a Thread Prefix when posting a new thread. This will allow you to designate what team your post is about or if it’s a general item, tigers in the news, match preview or review.

All the old posts are still available (except for 2018 which is another story) in the Tiger Archive which is a sub-forum of Richmond Ramblings.

I’m going to go through all of the other forums as well to reduce the number of choices that are required when somebody wants to post something.

  The Other Games - 2019
Posted by: Jools - 25-03-2019, 13:20 - Forum: AFL General Discussion - Replies (13)

Well with some of the results this weekend, our slight fall off in the 2nd and 3rd quarters will barely rate a mention in the media this week I would think. The game itself was spoken about not being of a great standard, but compared with some of the other tripe dished up, I don't think there was another game that should have been substituted as the season opener.

Hard to decide on the worst result, but for me it was Essendon. They just didn't put pressure on, and the errors were shockers.

I'm always looking to make improvements to the site. One way to do this is to add plugins to extend the functionality.

One this that I've missed is the ability to mention another member using @Vosstiger (for instance). You'll be happy to know that this has now been installed. I'm also going to install another plugin that will notify people when they've been mentioned.

Let me know if there is any other functionality you'd like to see.

  Blind Tipping 2019
Posted by: Gracie - 15-03-2019, 15:14 - Forum: Competitions - Replies (16)

Hi all

Once again we will have the time honoured prestigious Blind Tipping competition.

For those who haven't played before it is simple to play. I send you a tipping sheet with the whole season on it. You then pick who will win each game for every game for all the home and away rounds. You then return the tipping sheet to me before the first game of Round 1 (our game against @#$%ton next Thursday night). The amount of time you devote to picking the winner of each game is up to you.

You then sit back and watch how well you can predict the future.

I have sent out tipping sheets to all of last year's contestants - Herky, Tiger Timmy, Jools, Justmike, Vosstiger, Tiger3121, Tigeriffic, Believe!, Ned, TBR, Vines, iTiger59, Torpedo Punt and Crusher. Hopefully I have eevryone.

Anyone else who would like to join in all you need to do is send me an PM with your email address. I will send out the tipping sheet to your email address.

Past Winners
2018 Herky
2017 Gracie
2016 Vines
2015 Tigeriffic
2014 fightingfury
2013 Duncan
2012 fightingfury, Broadsword and Gracie
2011 JustMike
2010 Shvtech
2009 TigerAdam and Jupps
2008 Dean#00 and JustMike
2007 fightingfury and Tiger10

Posted by: Coach - 10-03-2019, 20:05 - Forum: Competitions - Replies (4)

I need your assistance to help test this year's Yellow Sash Award voting form.

It's on a different site - more about that later.

In the meantime, I need as many of you to visit the site and cast your vote on the JLT 2 match - Hawthorn v Richmond.

Please post your feedback here or on that site.

You'll find the voting form here: https://tigers.aussierules.online/2019/0...rd-voting/

New rules impact on the Tigers
Posted by: honestjohn - 21-02-2019, 23:44 - Forum: Tiger Archive - Replies (4)

I am interested in knowing everyone's thoughts on the new rules and how they will impact the Tiges. We currently have the best rated backline and forward line, and a game plan to "receive" the ball in the backline after the centre bounce. I think they are implementing too many changes, especially when you implement a big change like the 666 rule. (my first thread Smile)
