Tigers in the News: Lambert set to return against Eagles
Speaking to SEN Breakfast on Wednesday morning, coach Damien Hardwick confirmed Lambert would make his return against the Eagles after injuring his calf in Round 6.
"He'll be back which is great, we look forward to him raining chaos on the opposition because that's what he does," Hardwick said.
"He's so important to the way we play, it will be good to welcome the little man back."
Patrick Naish (hamstring) is also likely to be available for selection, while the Tigers will be cautious with Dion Prestia, who was subbed out of last Saturday's Dreamtime win over the Bombers with hamstring tightness.
"(Dion's) doing some running today (Wednesday) and we'll have a better understanding on Friday," Hardwick said.
"It's touch and go, we're pretty conservative with our injuries.
"He's an important player and a long-term player for us so we won't push the envelope if he's doubtful."
Hardwick also provided an update on David Astbury (Achilles), who won't make his return before the bye, and Tom Lynch, who has remained in Melbourne following a knee arthroscopy.
"Tommy's going well...He's doing a power of work in his rehab and he's going really well, we look forward to getting him back," Hardwick said.
"He was carrying that injury for a little while and it's funny, once he had the surgery he realised how much it was holding him back in regards to the movement in his knee, so that's going to be a real positive for us."
