“Richmond supports the decision around mass gatherings by the Government and the AFL, to protect the health and safety of the community.

We understand the serious nature of COVID-19, and we will continue to comply with the latest advice from the government and health authorities to protect our own players and staff, as well as our Club members and supporters, and the broader community.

We know that our fans will be disappointed to be unable to attend our upcoming AFL and AFLW games - we love to play in front of the Tiger Army, and we know they’re eager to attend our games.

While access to the Club and our games is not possible right now, the Club will continue to engage its members and supporters during this time, to keep them informed and connected to the Club.

The Club will delay the unfurling of the 2019 premiership flag until it can share the moment with its loyal and passionate Tiger Army at the MCG."

Look, if you are going to cancel the season AFL peeps, you might as well award the 2020 Premiership to 1) the one most likely to win anyway, 2) the club with the most members, 3) whoever won it last year.
Oh, that happens to be Richmond on all counts.

Have a better suggestion...

We all know that Thursday season opener will be played between the Tiges and Blues. Well I would be happy for a 1 point win, and the reason why? To gloat on the outcome of what happens next  read on..

We know the AFL likes to make announcements on a Friday morning, well after El president Gill Mc comes away from the Thursday night game and realises that without the Tiger army in attendance the atmosphere of an AFL game is soulless. He comes to the realisation it is not worth the effort to continue with the season. Gill makes the decision to follow the rest of the sporting world trend and cancels all other AFL matches for the rest of season 2020, thus saving Victoria from the pandemic Corona Virus. He is a hero, thus pumping up his ego even further.

So the ladder reads...
Richmond 1 win 0 losses, 4 premiership points.
All other teams 0 wins 0 losses, 0 premiership points.

2020 Premiership cup (#13) is awarded to Richmond. And it was won by beating Carlscum by 1 point.

Go Tiges
