Jack suffered headaches after the VFL game on weekend, went to hospital and discovered he had bleeding on the brain, he is most likely going to miss the remainder of the year.

Just this so far:

A guy a my work had a bleed on the brain earlier this year. It took 2 to 3 days of tests before they could decide on a cause and ongoing treatment. He wasn’t as fit as Jack which would help!

My colleague is now back at work and healthy.

My eldest daughter had this, chronic fatigue was a consequence.

It sounds like an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). They don't always have surgery, but I reckon he might, so he can play without risk. He's fortunate he had a scan and this was picked up, they are often only diagnosed on autopsy.

My wife had to insist over Doctor's reluctance to scan, which when finally done showed a brain bleed.
They would have killed our daughter if they had gone ahead with their "plan".
They were extremely apologetic (Neuro surgery team) when they realised my wife was right.

Apparently it will need 6months recovery time. Unlikely to see him next year, but Balme says that the prognosis for post recovery is still that he should be able to return to football.
Would be one hell of a mental hurdle to overcome to resume playing though.

I just want to see him smiling, football would just be an incredible bonus, certainly football is well behind his health and family concern.
