Mav Weller will retire from AFL football after the Grand Final to concentrate on business interests.

Weller finishes his AFL career with 123 games after playing 2 senior games with Richmond this year.

Kamdyn McIntosh and Jack Ross will be rested from today’s VFL Grand Final, replaced by Daniel Coffield and Jacob Ballard.

Also mentioned on TV that Stack will only play from the 2nd quarter onwards.

CHOL. That was coach killer if ever there was one - our ball in the middle under no pressure and he roughs up Mellington (who was the guy that Butler hit). They goal.

Stack looks very very short of a run...and he's sore.
Eggmolesse-Smith looks good.
Morris took a huge mark in the third and his attack set up an awesome Butler handball to Towner in the fourth.
CCJ looks awesome.
Pickett makes VFL blokes look really slow. And he's clean.
RCD kicked two awesome running goals.
Butler is above VFL level.
Balta with the critical chase down tackle late....he's a freak athlete.

We've been really good against the breeze in the last, after Willy got it back to 1 point.

We fell in, no other way to put it. Gotta hand it to these stand alone VFL clubs, the way they can compete with AFL 2nds, some with 15 AFL listed players. They really feast on the local club spirit & they try to exert their physical advantage over the younger AFL players bodies. 2 weeks in a row, we looked in trouble against a standalone, but the AFL fitness levels gave us a slight edge. Glad to finally nail a VFL flag after dominating for 3 years. One job to do now.

I took a client to Ikon Park today , this place is so ancient! Hardly any ramps in the outer, a disused electronic scoreboard and fading Optus grandstand signs, I was waiting for the tumbleweeds to blow in. Obviously Cheap for the VFL to have it there. Glad to see the guys get the win, they certainly deserved it, the umpires didn't help

I was at the game, that was so tense! Very glad to get the win after a narrow loss 2 years ago. Our impression at the ground was that the umpires almost did us in. Had to feel for Willie Wheeler though, missing goals twice. He used to play for Coburg when we were aligned.
